quarterly Notice of Change in LA DWP Water Rates
July - September 2010
his notice is to inform you of the quarterly water rate adjustments
that reflect the cost of buying water from the Metropolitan Water
District (MWD) and executing other water projects and programs,
effective July 1, 2010. The total rate adjustment will be an increase, as
shown below of 11.6 cents per billing unit, or $1.39 per month for a typical
residential customer. Rate adjustments are effective January 1, April 1,
July 1, and October 1 of each year, and are based on the actual costs
incurred by the LADWP. State legislation requires all California municipal
water utilities to notify customers in advance of rate adjustment
changes on their water bills.
